Mainframe CSS

What is Mainframe

Mainframe CSS is a CSS framework (a set of CSS files) aimed at rapid prototyping and development of AJAX web applications. Code is elegantly separated so it can be easily customized and extended. It is given for free under the MIT open source license.

Why you should use it

  • It will ensure you have as little inconsistencies as possible between browsers
  • Uses a set of classes that allow standardization of messages, alerts and forms
  • Includes a grid system and a set of accompanying files for designers (PSD, AI, etc.)
  • Speeds up the time to slice web templates by including special classes for handling floats and vertical space
