Who am I ?
My name is Vangelis Bibakis and I am a web developer based in Athens, Greece. I create web based software and applications using the lamp platform (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP).
I also deal with information architecture and user experience concepts.
My work philosophy is that web software should be a pleasure to use by being simple, well designed and of course fast and error-free. I am always on the hunt for new and innovative tools and development practices to ensure I'm in the right work environment to create the best software possible.
I believe in using out of the box thinking in solving business and technical problems. If a problem looks hard then most of the times it's the problem definition you should work on, and not the answer. Finding alternatives in problem solving not only leads to better results but also makes working far more enjoyable.
My projects
Deskhot allows you to store the websites you visit everyday and access them from a single page. It's a way to keep your bookmarks simple and organized.
A CSS framework aimed primary at rapid AJAX application prototyping.
A web radio station. Currently in private beta.
Also I'm involved in a pre-alpha digital music locker. I'll announce more details when available.
